Background:
Mr. Benson's practice focuses on representation of developers and property owners before city,
county, and state authorities. Mr. Benson has considerable experience in zoning matters and has
represented developers and property owners before the City of San Antonio as well as numerous
communities around the San Antonio area. He has also assisted clients in obtaining approvals
relating to their developments in those jurisdictions. In addition, he has assisted them in securing
water and wastewater commitments and advised them with respect to rules regarding their developments.
The other primary area of Mr. Benson's practice relates to water rights. He has represented numerous clients
before the Edwards Aquifer Authority regarding permitting, regulatory, and enforcement matters. He also
represented clients before other groundwater districts throughout the State of Texas. In addition, he
also has advised and represented clients in the acquisition and disposition of water rights.
