In his last year of law school, Adam Block was competing in a bankruptcy moot court competition in front of a panel of practicing attorneys, including firm partner Elliott Cappuccio. After the round, Elliott walked up to Adam and said, “I liked your argument. Call me if you’re looking for a job some time.” The next month, Adam and his teammates came in third place in the Duberstein National Moot Court Competition in Brooklyn, New York, and that summer, Adam took the job.
Before attending law school, Adam staffed political campaigns in seven states and worked as an aide to the Mayor of Houston, a committee clerk at the Texas House of Representatives, and an intern in the United States Senate.
Adam was born in Houston, Texas, but became a fifth-generation San Antonioan when he moved there in 2008. Adam volunteers on behalf of several charitable organizations, and in his free time, he enjoys playing guitar, collecting autobiographies of notable and (not-so-notable) political figures, and spending time with his dog, Murray.
Adam, his two brothers, and his father are all Eagle Scouts.
