About Matthieu
Matthieu Belanger-Coast earned dual bachelor's degrees in Biology and Physics from Randolph College in 2017. He received his Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law in May 2020, after which he relocated to Texas to pursue graduate studies in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
During law school, Matthieu gained experience through his work with the Virginia Capital Case Clearinghouse, where he successfully secured parole for three clients and co-authored a memorandum that led to the disqualification of a prosecution expert witness in a capital case. He also served as a legal research assistant, focusing on the impact of political interference on judicial independence.
Matthieu was licensed to practice law in Texas in 2022. He began his legal career as a Reference Attorney at Thomson Reuters, where he specialized in legal research across a range of areas, including bankruptcy, securities, intellectual property, tax, and corporate law. In 2023, he briefly worked in the United Kingdom as a legal software consultant before returning to Texas to resume the practice of law as a litigator.
In February 2025, Matthieu joined Pulman, LeFlore, Pullen & Reed LLP, where his practice concentrates on bankruptcy and securities litigation.
