Sarah Nickodam is a 2011 graduate of Austin College, a private liberal arts university in Sherman, Texas, where she majored in political science and minored in religious studies. While at Austin College, Ms. Nickodam served in various leadership positions for the Omega Zeta Sorority and performed with the Austin College Choral Department as a member of the Acapella Choir and the vocal jazz ensemble, “Descant.”
In 2015, Ms. Nickodam graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law with Honors and was inducted into the John M. Harlan Honors Society. While in law school, Ms. Nickodam served as both a staff writer and editor for the St. Mary’s Law Journal. Additionally, she served as vice president for the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honors Society. Also during law school, Ms. Nickodam served as a law clerk in the Bexar County Staff Attorney’s Office, which provides legal counsel to the Bexar County Civil District Judges.
After law school, Ms. Nickodam first served as an Assistant Staff Attorney in the Bexar County Staff Attorney’s Office. There, she served as legal counsel to the Bexar County Civil District Judges predominantly assisting with family law cases. While serving as an Assistant Staff Attorney, Ms. Nickodam received an award from the District Judges for exemplary service. She then had the honor of serving as law clerk to the Honorable Craig A. Gargotta, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Texas.
Ms. Nickodam joined the Firm in April of 2018. Her practice focuses primarily on bankruptcy and commercial litigation.
